Ahmad Nabil Amir holds a PhD from Universiti Malaya in Usuluddin (Islamic theology). He pursue his post-doctoral studies at the Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (2011-2012) working on the work of Muhammad Abduh. Later he join the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC-IIUM) as Associate Research Fellow (2019-2020). He has written extensively on the political thought of Islamic revivalists and has translated Muhammad Asad's magnum opus, The Message of the Qur'an into Malay (Risalah al-Qur'an) in 3 volumes (Islamic Renaissance Front, 2021). He has published several works on medieval and modern Muslim polymath and theologian, such as Ibn Hazm's Critics on Christian Tradition (Blessed Hope Publishing, 2021) and Muhammad Abduh's Contributions to Science and Technology (LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, 2015)
