He is an associate professor of health and quantitative psychology and a faculty member in both the Department of Psychology and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Old Dominion University. Dr. Padilla has presented research at numerous professional conferences and has published extensively in various journals, including Educational and Psychological Measurement, Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods, and Applied Psychological Measurement.
