George Herbert Perris 1866-1920

The Author: Robert Gomme was educated at the London School of Economics, University of London, where he read politics, history and economics. He worked in British government service, mainly in the Department of the Environment but also in the Cabinet Office. Since retirement in 1990 he has pursued research into aspects of modern British history and has contributed articles to learned journals and the New Dictionary of National Biography.
