Robert Pangrazi taught in the Department of Exercise and Physical Education at Arizona State University for 31 years. He has authored several bestselling books and texts over the years. These include multiple editions of Dynamic Physical Education for Elementary School Children and Dynamic Physical Education for Secondary School Children. He also coedited Toward a Better Understanding of Physical Fitness and Activity: Selected Topics for the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports with Chuck Corbin. In addition to numerous other books and texts, he has written many journal articles and scholarly papers for publication. Aaron Beighle is an associate professor at the University of Kentucky, teaching physical education methods courses. He has authored numerous articles and chapters, as well as previous editions of Dynamic Physical Education for Elementary School Children. Beighle has also coauthored Pedometer Power, 2nd Edition (Human Kinetics, 2007) and Physical Activity for Children: A Statement of Guidelines for Children Ages 5-12, 2nd Edition (NASPE, 2004). Dr Beighle’s areas of research include physical activity promotion, specificially examining school-based physical activity programmes and the use of pedometers to encourage physical activity in children.
