She is also a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for the History of Women’s Education at the University of Winchester, UK, and has published on the history of girls’ culture, education, and sport. Stephanie Spencer is Professor of the History of Women’s Education at the University of Winchester, UK. She is also President of the History of Education Society (UK) and has published a range of books and articles on girls’ formal and informal education.
