Mohammad Makki graduated with an MA in Financial Economics from the American University of Beirut in 2010. He is currently the Chair of the Economics Department at the Lebanese International University. He serves as the country chair, reviewer, and co-organizer of the International Conference on Digital Economy. He is also an Analyst with Economena Analytics, and a researcher in the field of economics; he has published articles in Al-Akhabar newspaper and in several journals. His research interests are Islamic taxation, sustainability, economic growth, and public policy. He is the founder and the President of the Research Centre of the Beirut Economics Congress that was established in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade.Dr Nadine Sinno obtained her PhD in Tourism and Cultural Management from the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut in 2015. She is currently Chairperson of the Hospitality and Tourism Department at the School of Business in the Lebanese International University. She has previously worked as a researcher and empirical evaluator in the Commercial Registry Assessment Project (Lebanon). Her research focuses on cultural intelligence in tourism management and establishes a new socio-cultural assessment for individuals, providing a link between successful intercultural encounters and cultural intelligence.
