Alev Elçi, PhD works as Assistant Professor in Aksaray University, Management Information Systems Department. She was a visiting researcher in Roger Williams University with a six months grant of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK). Her main research areas are faculty development, technology enhanced learning, educational technology, social networks, learning communities, animation and game based learning, internationalization, and narrative approaches. She has a book titled “Faculty Beliefs and Needs: Opening the Gate to ICT-based Professional Development in Teaching and Learning”. She is currently teaching database management, management information systems, knowledge economy and management. Atilla Elçi is full professor, chairman of Dept Electrical-Electronics and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Aksaray University since August 2012. His Professional practice includes the Intll Telecom Union, Switzerland, as chief technical advisor for computerization field projects (1985-97) and Info Tech & Telecoms Pvt Ltd as founder/managing director, Turkey (1997-2003). He has organized/served for committees of numerous international conferences. He has organized IEEE COMPSAC & ESAS since 2006, SinConfs since 2007; and, IJRCS Symposiums 2008-9. He has published over a hundred journal and conference papers, edited the Semantic Agent Systems (Springer, 2011), Theory and Practice of Cryptography Solutions for Secure Information Systems (IGI Global, 2013) and the proceedings of SIN Conferences by ACM, ESAS 2006-14 by IEEE CS. He was the program chair for the 36th IEEE COMPSAC (2012), track chair for 2008-2013, Standing Committee Member 2014 onwards. He is an associate editor of Expert Systems: The Journal of Knowledge Engineering and editorial board member of several other journals. BSEE METU, Ankara (1970), M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Computer Sciences, Purdue Univ, USA (1973, 1975).
