Nancy G. Burton, Ed.D., is a Professor of Education/Special Education at Concord University. Dr. Burton has more than 38 years of experience as an educator including service as an English teacher, a special educator, Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, Section 504 Coordinator, and most recently, Professor of Education/Special Education. Dr. Burton works extensively with the WV Office of Special Programs (Special Education) and has been the recipient of multiple WV School Improvement Grants. Additionally, Dr. Burton is a certified trainer/professional developer of the Kansas University Strategy Intervention Model strategies and Content Enhancement Routines. She has prepared ancillary materials for multiple textbooks and has served as consultant for online course development. Creating Effective IEPs is Dr. Burton’s first textbook.
