Community music as a field of practice, pedagogy, and research has come of age. Brydie-Leigh Bartleet is Associate Professor and Director of the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre at Griffith University, Australia. Lee Higgins is Professor of Music Education and Director of the International Centre for Community Music at York St John University. He is also the author of Community Music: In Theory and In Practice (2012).
