This volume is an important part of the long-term research carried out by the Institute of Law Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on human rights and the rule of law, as well as a continuation and further development of fundamental research on the legal system of protection of women’s human rights. This publication is of great theoretical and practical significance for further theoretical analysis and policy analysis on the legal protection of women's social rights and the improvement of the legal mechanisms safeguarding women’s social rights in China.

Li Xixia, Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) and Master Degree in English Language, is Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of International Law Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Deputy Director of the Editorial Board of Chinese International Law Review. She majors in social security law and women’s rights law. Lidija R. Basta Fleiner, PhD (Belgrade University) is Permanent Guest Professor of Constitutional Law and Political Theory, Belgrade University; former Professor, University of Fribourg (CH); founder and former Director of the International Research and Consulting Centre of its Institute of Federalism.
