De actibus humanis. Sobre los actos humanos

Francisco de Vitoria, who was interested in all questions concerning human life, found in theology the key to giving answers whose validity has not declined over time. This feature, clearly marked in the ›Relectiones‹, also holds for ›De actibus humanis‹. This hitherto unpublished work is a commentary on the nature of human behavior, which mainly focuses on morality as the ontological reality underlying human acts, disposed as they are (or not) towards the ultimate end. The commentary, in spite of being academic, stands out due to its liveliness and practical sense, as well as its unaffected, down-to-earth style. This very first edition of the ›De actibus humanis‹ is published together with an extensive introductory study and a Spanish translation. Francisco de Vitoria, den alle die menschliche Existenz betreffenden Fragen interessierten, fand in der Theologie den Schlüssel, um Antworten zu geben, die im Laufe der Zeit nichts an Aktualität verloren haben. Dieser Aspekt, der in den ›Relectiones‹ deutlich hervortritt, gilt auch und besonders für ›De actibus humanis‹ – jenem bislang unveröffentlichten Teil aus Vitorias Thomas-Kommentar, der sich mit dem moralisch rechten Handeln befasst. Zentral ist hierbei für den Salmantiner vor allem die Moralität als ontologische Wirklichkeit der menschlichen Handlungen, die auf das letzte Ziel bezogen sind. Der Kommentar bewegt sich auf höchstem akademischen Niveau, beeindruckt jedoch zugleich durch seine Lebendigkeit sowie den praktischen Sinn seines Autors. Die hier vorgelegte Erstedition von ›De actibus humanis‹ wird von einer ausführlichen Einführung sowie einer spanischen Übersetzung begleitet. Esta característica se encuentra claramente marcada en ›Relectiones‹ e incluso más en ›De actibus humanis‹. Esta obra, que hasta ahora no había sido publicada, es un comentario sobre la naturaleza del comportamiento humano. El texto se enfoca principalmente en la moralidad como realidad ontológica subyacente en los actos humanos orientados hacia un fin último. Un comentario altamente académico que resalta gracias a la vivacidad y sentido práctico de su autor.
