The book aims to provide lawyers with background information on accident and emergency services in the UK and on the type of problems which occur and may subsequently result in allegations of negligent treatment. The choices have been based on the author's experience of over 800 medical negligence cases completed on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Details within each section provide information on how the patient should be received, the condition investigated and diagnosed, and on the generally accepted methods of treatment.
