Kenrad E.Nelson, MD, is Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine at the Bloomberg School of Public Healthand School of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He is the former director of the Infectious Disease Program in the Department of Epidemiology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health and is the author of numerous publications on the epidemiology of HIV, hepatitis, and infectious diseases. Carolyn Masters Williams, MPH, PhD is Chief of the Epidemiology Branch, Basic Science Program, Division of AIDS, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. She is an Epidemiologist with an interest in the epidemiology and prevention of HIV and AIDS and their associated infections. Her current experience is with multi-center clinical trials of the prevention of HIV and AIDS.
