Dr. Xiaoming Sheng had extensive experience in sociology, anthropology, education, women studies, and home schooling. She is a young sociologist working in the area of sociology of education. She is strongly interested in developing theorisations of social class and the ways in which it is mediated by gender. Her research area mainly focuses parental involvement, family studies, reproduction of social inequality in terms of gender and social class.
