Features 32 important World War II aircraft over approximately 47 spreads (104 pages).
Capitalizing on the success of "In the Cockpit", Collins Design will partner again with the National Air and Space Museum to publish a book on the most significant World War II planes in the museum's collection. World War II is a highly popular publishing genre, and national accounts have asked for a follow-up book to "In the Cockpit". Organized into twelve 'chapters', the book features 32 important World War II aircraft over approximately 47 spreads (104 pages). The text on each aircraft will place it in context from a historical and aviation perspective; images will include close-up shots of the cockpit as well as two to three archival or artifact photographs. There will be a twelve-page appendix featuring silhouettes of the panels with callouts identifying the key features.
