New York For Food Lovers is the foodie's guide to the most interesting eateries in New York – the culmination of 18 years of research by author Martin Gelin. With over 120 recommendations for food, drink & beyond in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, it guides you through the food diversity and fusion of cuisines that makes New York such an exciting place for foodies.
Each entry's review gives you the location, contact details, ordering recommendations, recommendations for other places to visit in New York from the chefs, and key information. The venues featured are a mixture of both budget and pricier locations. Breakout sections give you info on things like the evolution of various iconic New York food items, and where to find the real Little Italy in the Big Apple
The best way to experience New York is to wander the different neighbourhoods, from Washington Heights, to Soho, to Brooklyn, and sample its unique ethnic flavours. So, New York for Food Lovers' chapters are organised by cuisine type and neighbourhood. Find incredible seafood restaurants that recreate the atmosphere of fish markets along the Mediterranean coast, the most superb taquerias in Sunset Park, and the best dim sum in Chinatown sitting alongside delicious Eastern European Jewish foods, such as pastrami sandwiches and bagels.
