AWRA is a pack containing a complete process for accrediting work-related skill and achievement. This includes: a set of photocopiable materials for students to record activities, skill and achievements; comprehensive examples of work-related skills; guidance notes and exemplars for students and tutors; information for parents; information for employers; a photocopiable work experience diary; a summary statement for inclusion in the National Record of Achievement; suggested classroom activities; suggested strategies for development and implementation; and a suggested accreditation process. AWRA allows students to gain reward and recognition for the wide range of work-related experiences that they may encounter while still at school or college. The project is based on the student and tutor log books. These provide the opportunity for recording and accrediting work-related aspects in and out of the curriculum. Support materials and exemplar log book pages should help teachers and students work effectively. This pack has been devised and tested by the TVEI Unit, Waltham Forest, and is supported by BP, Employment Department and London East Training and Enterprise.
