Sample sentences in Japanese (written in both kanji and kana) and English give correct usage for each headword. Also features the next list of most common verbs, nouns and adjectives encountered in everyday situations.

John Millen is the author of the acclaimed Kanji Power and Japanese in a Flash Vol I. He graduated from Australian National University with a degree in Japanese and Indonesian and taught Japanese for several years in Australia, contributing to the Japanese-language curriculum development for Australian high schools. For the past 20 years, he has been giving private tutorial classes in Japanese to exchange students living in Japan.
