An essential text for all primary trainees who want to consolidate and develop English subject knowledge, ensuring confident and authoritative teaching.
Trainees need a secure understanding of their subject knowledge in order to become effective, creative and confident teachers. The third edition of this popular coursebook has been completely revised to match the new QTS Standards, and reflects the latest thinking from the Primary National Strategy and new English Framework. All popular, existing features have been retained, but are joined by new reflective tasks and "Moving On" sections which help trainees to develop the information in each chapter. New chapters on language and literacy acquisition, ICT and e-texts bring the text fully up-to-date.
