Jake and the Snake is a story about a little boy who is organized, methodical, and deliberate. As he grows older, he discovers his inner more adventurous, spiritual self. It is during the adventurous phase that he encounters Zake and begins to discover within his inner self what it means to be humble and a being of servitude. When Zake attempts to convince Jake to become a lazy and slothful person, it is precisely at this time that Jake becomes more dependable and reliable. Jake is not convinced, considers the consequences of listening to Zake, and rebukes Zake--leading to a long, healthy life with the Father.
