Frances A. Karnes is professor of curriculum, instruction, and special education at The University of Southern Mississippi. She is widely known for her teaching, research, publications, innovative program developments, and service activities in gifted education and leadership training. Suzanne M. Bean is a Project Manager at the Research and Curriculum Unit at Mississippi State University. Prior to her work at MSU she worked for 35 years as a teacher, faculty member, and leader in education, working in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, non-profit community agencies, and businesses across Mississippi.
