Edward K. Chung, MD, FACP, FACC, is considered to be one of the top cardiologists in the world. He received his medical degree in 1957 from Seoul National University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He completed his medical residency and cardiology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO between 1958-1964. He is currently Professor Emeritus in Medicine and Cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University, which has established the Edward K. Chung Distinguished Lectureship on Cardiovascular Diseases in recognition of his myriad accomplishments in the field. Dr. Chung is a prolific author in the filed of cardiology, with 99 other books on the subject; 32 of his books have been translated into 12 foreign languages. He has given numerous lectures throughout the world on many subjects related to cardiology and is on the editorial board of many cardiology journals. His hobbies include golf, fishing, ballroom dancing, singing, and photography.
