The volume thus contains all information on the carbide Be2C which is of technological interest; on a number of natural silicate minerals, e.g., phenakite Be2SiO4 with a fundamental structure type; bertrandite Be4(OH)2Si2O7; chkalovite Na2BeSi2O6 , as well as on the important group of the beryllates with alkali elements or NH4 and halogens.
