Using fundamental analysis techniques, this reference work analyzes the financial results from the annual reports of 1500 international corporations and reviews comparable financial data by geographic regions, standardized industry classification and standardized operating ratios.
In today's global economy, misunderstandings and misrepresentations abound when financial statement data is communicated between countries that use different accounting standards. This unique resource provides a standard reference source of this data. Using fundamental analysis techniques, it analyzes the financial results from the annual reports of 1500 international corporations and reviews comparable financial data by geographic regions, standardized industry classification and standardized operating ratios. This volume, covering financial statement analysis, is part of a four-volume series. Volume 2 contains information pertaining to North America; Volume 3 the EC and Central Europe; and Volume 4 Australia and the Pacific Rim.

HAKSU KIM is a Financial Analyst with Bloomberg LP of Princeton, New Jersey, where he works on merging international accounting principles and constructing fundamental corporate global databases for use by the international financial community. He later helped develop Cfarbase, a similar database project, for CIFAR. Recently, he established Pacific Investment Research, Inc., as an independent vehicle to pursue his international research. Mr. Kim was born and educated in Korea, where he received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Myong Ji University in Seoul.
