This reference contains an extensive number of injuries and disorders which can occur in any sport. Included are the texts and scales used to help determine the degree or the type of problem which presents itself. Each entry defines the injury or disorder, states the sport and/or situation in which it is most likely to occur, provides information on how it can be avoided, describes the characteristic clinical features, and discusses the treatment options available. Where applicable, alternative names are provided, or the reader is directed to terms which can give further relevant information.
