The number of terms in this German-English part is approximately 75,000 which is considerably more than in the English-German dictionary. In preparing this edition the terminology of the English-German volume has been revised according to medical and lexicological demands and verified by consulting modern German medical literature. Some new terms and parts of the IUPAC nomenclature have been added. In some cases comments received concerning the English-German part have been considered and appropriate modifications made.
