Wilhelm Braune's »Old High German Grammar« has been a companion to research and teaching in German studies for the last 100 years. The last revision was undertaken by Hans Eggers (1975/1987). The new 15th edition incorporates the rich research literature on morphology and phonology published over the last 30 years, and also attempts a careful modernization of this valuable work. The original aim of the book was to achieve a combination of study manual and research grammar. This intention has been preserved in the new edition.
