Maths Plus: Foundation Mathematics

This is a resource for teaching maths to children in the early years of the National Curriculum. It is designed to support the foundation stage and the Early Learning Goals in England, and early years education in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It also adheres to the National Numeracy Strategy.

Each of the 12 progressively structured teaching units last two to three weeks and provides:



six engaging role-play scenarios with suggested stories.
whole-class routines including oral and mental maths.
circle maths for developing rhythm and number sequences.
preparation and planning guidance plus letter templates for parents for the home-school link.
activity support cards that give additional support for adult helpers.
record-keeping sheets for AiFL.
