Michael Snook is a freelance writer, an independent television and film producer, and has been an avid angler for five decades. Originally from North Bay, Ontario, for the past nineteen years he has lived in Saskatchewan, and explored as many of its thousands of fishable waters as time allows. Michael is a tournament angler, past and founding president of the Saskatchewan Walleye Trail Tournament organization, a part-time fishing guide, and an active outdoor educator, specializing in providing family-oriented fishing seminars. As a writer, he has contributed to a number of publications, including Great Canadian Fishing Stories, edited by David E. Scott; Voyages, Canada's Heritage Rivers, edited by Lynn E. Noel; and Ken Schultz's Fishing Encyclopedia. For more than a decade Michael has written a weekly outdoors column for the Regina Leader Post. His feature articles have appeared in scuh magazines as Western Sportsman, Canada's Outdoor Sportsman, and Outdoor Canada.
