The story of Oxford Speedway
Bert Croucher, Bernard Crapper, and Todd Wiltshire are just a few of the stars who rode for the Cheetahs, participating in the good times and the bad, from the threatened sale of the stadium itself to the record winning team of 1986. This work follows the journey of the Cheetahs from their first meeting in 1939 to the end of the 2006 season.

Robert Bamford is a prolific speedway author, with Homes of British Speedway and Speedway: The Pre-war Years among his many titles. He lives in Wiltshire. Glynn Shailes is the former Oxford Speedway press officer, and wrote the 1990 book A Potted History of Oxford Speedway. He is a respected speedway historian and lives in Wiltshire.
