Jane's Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence Systems

Andy Oppenheimer is an acknowledged specialist in nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) weapons, specifically in nuclear technology and proliferation; radiological weapons; NBC countermeasures; explosives; and infectious diseases. He is a member of Jane's Expert Network and has worked on government and commercial projects as a consultant for Jane's Strategic Advisory Services. He writes for Jane's Chem-Bio Web and Jane's Intelligence Digest, speaks at conferences and seminars, and makes regular media appearances. He is also editor of NBC International magazine, and contributes reports to several UK and US defence publications, consultancy groups and institutes. He has 20 years' experience in scientific publishing and government service as a commissioning editor, writer, and project manager. Huw Williams is Jane's Land Desk Researcher and also works on Jane's Simulation and Training Systems. He holds a BA in Geography with East European Studies Nottingham University, and an MSc in Russian and East European Studies from Birmingham University where his studies focussed on economic and industrial restructuring with emphasis on the defence industry.
