He lives in an unfinished and perhaps unfixable construction project in Cabbagetown, Toronto, with his wife, two children, and very rare brown-and-black tabby cat. Tony Ioannou, co-author of Buying and Selling a Home For Canadians For Dummies, is currently a senior associate with Dexter Associates Realty, and has been interviewed many times in the Vancouver media about the state of the Vancouver real estate market. Tony obtained his real estate license in 1984, and has consistently been a top producing salesperson with NRS Block Bros., and with Dexter Associates Realty since 1990. In 1990 he obtained his agents (brokers)license, but continues to enjoy working as a residential real estate sales person primarily on the West Side of Vancouver. Margaret Kerr and JoAnn Kurtz, co-authors of Candian Small Business Kit For Dummies and Wills and Estates For Canadians For Dummies Planning Kit, are lawyers, and they are also both entrepreneurs - and they have the bumps, bruises, and scars to prove it. Occasionally, they find they came to be the authors of , among other books, Buying, Owning and Selling a Home in Canada (now in its second edition); Candian Tort Law in a Nutshell (with Laurence Olivo); and Make It Legal: What Every Candian Entrepreneur Needs to Know About the Law. In the mid 1970s, he walked away from an executive position with a major advertising agency to pursue a career in film directing, writing and photography. Soon he was balancing business and promotional writing with travel assignments-he has sailed the Nile, Rhine, and Amazon rivers, dived off Australia's Great Barrier Reef, hiked through rice paddies in Bali, and stalked perfect dim sum Hong Kong. John has written and published ten books, including five mystery books-two of them Arthur Ellis award winners for Best Mystery Novel by a Candian-as well as books on ballroom dancing, gardening, and true crime. His professional writing assignments have included RRSP and pension-related material for a number of leading companies. He has also been a loyal RRSP contributor and investor for over 25 years.
