Tells the stories behind some of the most glamorous and alluring vehicles of the fifties, sixties and seventies - the Grand Tourers.
This book, the first in a series of three, tells the stories behind some of the most glamorous and alluring vehicles of the fifties, sixties and seventies - the Grand Tourers. Since the arrival of the Lancia Aurelia B20 GT in 1953, manufacturers have competed - with both popular culture and each other - to find that perfect balance of luxury, accommodation, and sporting ability.

I have been a devoted fan of classic cars in general for as long as I can remember so it was inevitable that I would turn my enthusiasm and writing skills to a book of some kind. I have always been fascinated by the glamorous eras of the '50s, '60s and '70s, and coming from a politics/sociological background academically makes for a cultural, as much as a technical, study of the most alluring class of car from this time. I have raced in the BUKC (British Universities Karting Championship) and contribute to Classics Monthly Magazine.
