Dr David Weeks is Head of Old Age Psychology at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and a Fellow of the University of Edinburgh. He began his research into the superyoung in 1988. He has appeared on television in numerous documentary films, health education films, and chat shows. He writes regularly on popular psychology for the Sunday Times magazine and for several years had a weekly column in The Scotsman. In collaboration with Jamie James, he wrote Eccentrics, published in 1995
