A superb collection of angling cartoons accompanied by humorous captions, which capture the joy and the frustration of the sport.
'Rod Rage' is a brilliant collection of more than forty cartoons and humorous captions, depicting the trout angler's anguish and anticipation in pursuit of the 'gentle art'.
As the book's author and illustrator, Paul Dady, explains 'Fishing doesn't actually clear the mind. It does, however, given the opportunity, tend to clutter it with altogether more agreeable stuff ... usually.' Whether by circumstance or ill fortune, 'trouters' will have always found themselves tested and, subsequently, if only for the briefest of moments, been the loser of grace or good nature.
From knots to lucky underwear and appalling hauling to swans, many anglers will identify with the scenarios featured in this clever and quirky portrayal. Contrasting cartoon styles convey the different mood of each scene and are guaranteed to catch the reader's attention. This is the perfect gift book for trout anglers by one who knows the sport well.
