For each easy-to-use play, readers are given a complete diagram, the formation for beginning to play and a full description of the procedure. Where variations appear, each has a separate diagram to make positioning and procedure clear. The plays range from easy to complex, most can be used at all levels of competition. In addition to the plays, there is information on tactics for each type of restart play. The authors are both successful coaches and provide a brief introduction to the rules that cause a restart, describe the defences coaches and players might encounter and give basic attacking principles.
