A celebration of one of Geelong's top sporting heroes.
Celebrating the amazing career of AFL star Tom Hawkins, from his family background, with his dad also a champion player, through to his contribution to Geelong's ongoing success on the football field, we learn what has made Tom a star.

From a scholarship in 2006 as an under-18, Tom’s career has been full of accolades, including three times being part of a winning premiership team for Geelong, four McClelland trophies, five all Australian team selections, a Coleman medal in 2020, eleven times being the leading goal-kicker for Geelong and many many other accolades.

In Tom Hawkins: An Autobiography you will discover what has made him the star player he is, and meet all of the people who have been part of his journey including players, coaches and family. Tom's story is rich with events, people and the development of a winning attitude that has been his mainstay.

Tom Hawkins is a renowned player for the Geelong Football Club. At 198cm tall, he is key to their goal-kicking line up. A country boy, he is the eldest son of Geelong champion, Jack Hawkins and was drafted by Geelong under the father–son rule. Even at school Tom was in top spot in his football team, and his junior accolades include national and state representation, the Larke Medal as the AFL Under-18 Championships most valuable player, and All-Australian selection. Tom made his AFL debut in 2007 and was rewarded with an AFL Rising Star nomination. He has since become a three-time AFL premiership player, a Coleman Medalist, an All-Australian full forward, a Carji Greeves Medallist as the club best and fairest player, an eleven-time leading goalkicker for Geelong, and a recipient of the former AFL Army Award—awarded to a player who produces significant acts of bravery or selflessness during a season. Tom played his 350th match for Geelong in April 2024 and 4 goals taking his haul to 790 career goals.
