Joint Mobilization is a new and highly interactive CD-ROM designed to teach the core principles of joint mobilization in an environment that is user-friendly. The use of audio, text, photos, animation, and video makes this a state-of-the-art learning tool for the novice and a reference tool for the practicing clinician. There are three major components to the CD-ROM: Principles, Body Regions, and Quiz. The first part of the module addresses the core principles for applying mobilization techniques to any joint. Areas covered in this section include joint kinematics, joint end-feels, concave/convex principle, and mobilization and traction grades. Users will have many opportunities to apply the knowledge they are learning through practice exercises that are at the end of each section.

The Body Regions section uses video to demonstrate joint mobilization techniques for 55 joints, highlighting positioning, clinician hand placement, and the direction of force. The Quiz is a bank of questions that are randomized so that the user will not get the questions in the same order each time, allowing a complete and comprehensive review.
