Larry Jacobson is an award-winning author, success coach, and adventurer who shares ways to overcome limitations for life’s greatest adventures. Having graduated from UC Irvine and Berkley in the 1970s, he became vice president of marketing and sales for an incentive travel company that helped people explore the world. In 2001, he decided to leave his job to pursue his lifelong dream of sailing and spent the next year around the globe on the Julia. Larry went on to write about his childhood love for boats and his adventures later in life in The Boy Behind the Gate, which was published in 2011. Since then, he has become a leadership and motivational speaker on achieving your life goals and living your best retirement life. When not delivering TEDTalks or working as VP of sales and marketing, he spends his free time at home in Emeryville, CA. Eric Swalwell grew up in California’s East Bay. After earning undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Maryland, he served as a prosecutor in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. Elected to Congress in 2012 to represent the East Bay, he is now in his fifth term and serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Judiciary Committee. He splits his time between Danville, CA, and Washington, DC.
