Richard Wingate is a neuroscientist who studies the development and evolution of the brain. He studied at Manchester and Oxford and has worked at universities in London and New York. He currently researches neurobiology and teaches at King's College London, where he is Professor of Developmental Neurobiology, also collaborating across disciplines to explore the interfaces between science and arts, philosophy, history and social sciences. He is Editor-in-Chief of the popular website, BrainFacts.org.
