Toshinori Ohmori graduated from Nihon University. Upon entering University, he joined the kickboxing club. His 8-second KO win in the first round of his debut fight was the fastest KO win in the history of Japan's collegiate kickboxing league. In addition to running Japan's first martial arts cafe, Ohmori served as a K-1 certified referee and judge. He currently manages Nice Middle, a kickboxing event for middle-aged and older athletes, and is a director of Athlete Foods. Alexander Bennett is Professor of Japanese History, Martial Arts, and Budo Theory at Kansai University. He co-founded and publishes Kendo World, the first English-language journal dedicated to Kendo. He holds black belts in several martial arts Kendo Kyoshi 7-dan, Iaido 5-dan, and Naginata 5-dan. His published works include The Complete Musashi: The Book of Five Rings and Other Works and Hagakure: The Secret Wisdom of the Samurai.
