Designed for readers who have never held a camera before, as well as those who are already knowledgeable about the basics but want to improve their skills. This book explores such contemporary topics as digital photography, processing digital images, camera operation, selecting the right lighting, printmaking and more.
Handbook of Photography-one of the most highly regarded photography textbooks, now in its sixth edition-is designed for those who have never held a camera, as well as those who know the basics but want to improve their photographic skills. In language that is simple and straightforward, this time-honored book blends contemporary topics, such as digital capture and digital image-processing, with all the traditional topics, including camera operation, composing a shot, developing film, selecting the right lighting, printmaking, and more. Readers learn the fundamentals of taking black-and-white, and color photographs with both traditional and digital cameras, as well as the ins-and-outs of lenses, filters, and other essential accessories. A new chapter on Creative Strategies explores different approaches that push photographic boundaries beyond the usual film or digital methods.
