The perfect companion for family days out in the Central Belt. In his new guide, Nick Drainey explores walks throughout the Central Belt, all
of which are easily accessible by public transport. Around 30 different routes, suitable for people of all age groups and abilities.
Every walk is easily accessible through the use of public transport, making each route an eco-friendly way to spend the day. These routes are not meant to challenge those who travel them, but instead offer the opportunity for memorable and enjoyable adventures for children and adults both – the objective is fun.
The descriptions of the walks are complemented by a repository of interesting facts, stories, and more to interest walkers. The reader will learn a little about the history and wildlife of the environments they explore. Beginners will also find helpful tips for preparation and navigation.
Drainey also provides knowing insight on how to keep younger walkers entertained and motivated and turn the day into a fun adventure for everyone.
