From the steaming jungles of the Amazon to the arid mountains of Syria, from the herbal markets of China to the high Peruvian plateau, Chris Kilham, an ethnobiologist, has searched for natural supplements to enhance libido, improve sexual function, and increase sexual pleasure. These natural agents of desire include maca, yohimbe, catuaba, mucuna puriens, cordyceps, ashwagandha, cacao, horny goat weed, zallou root, and the legendary Tzepau Sanpien Pills. The book provides the history, legend, and lore surrounding each herb, Kilham's own experiences pursuing the plants, all scientific findings as well as practical guidelines for use. His program combines these sex-enhancing botanicals and such other lifestyle tools as relaxation techniques that augment not only sex, but life overall.
Chris Kilham is a medicine hunter and teaches ethnobotany through the Medicinal Plant program at the University of Massachusetts. His two previous books, Tales From the Medicine Trail and Psyche Delicacies: Coffee, Chocolate, Chiles, Kava, and Cannabis and Why They're Good For You were published by Rodale Press. He has published 12 books in all. His medicinal plant research has been written about in the Wall Street Journal, Parade, USA Today, The New York Times, Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Natural Health. He's written articles for Men's Health and Penthouse.
