We are more temperamentally egalitarian than ever, and as a result, we are encountering more people with different values and customs.#4 The low-context shift is being accelerated by communication technologies. We are losing our ability to discern someone s intent from their eyes, posture, and movement, and we are relying on conflict-resolution tactics that were developed for the world in which humans lived 200,000 years ago.
