Written by Dr. Kimberly Brown Pellum Dr. Kimberly Brown Pellum is the founder of TheHistoryConsultants.com and Assistant Professor of History at Florida A&M University. Her most recent book is Black Beauties: African American Pageant Queens in the Segregated South. Illustrated by Magali Attiogbe Magali Attiogbe was born in Atakpame in Togo and moved to France at the age of three. In 2002, she obtained an illustration DMA at the Estienne school in Paris. Since then, she has worked on a variety of projects including posters, books and toys.
