Now based in the UK, he was formerly resident in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he undertook research and development projects related to natural resource management, floodplains and conservation. Paul became an expert on the country’s birds, helped establish Bangladesh’s first community managed wetland bird sanctuary, and currently advises Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bangladesh programme.
