The Reverend Dr Richard Buckley was born in Bedford and studied at the universities of Hull and Strathclyde. Having an exceptional career, by gaining a PhD and being ordained into the Church of England ministry at Wakefield Cathedral, he has served in a variety of the Yorkshire Parishes. Since 1991 he has been an Area Co-ordinator for the development charity Christian Aid. Reverend Dr Richard Buckley is a well-established historian, having published many previous books on this subject; however this is his first publication with Wharncliffe Books.
