This work documents some of Africa's last wild places, selected for their biological diversity. The diverse landscapes include the beautiful Cape, flowering Namaqualand, ancient Kalahari Desert, the aquatic Eden of Lake Malawi, the forests of Madagascar and Bwindi, and the tropical Seychelles.

This work documents some of Africa's last wild places, selected for their biological diversity and relatively pristine nature. It is an odyssey that leads through a diversity of landscapes: the beautiful Cape at the tip of Africa; Namaqualand, garden of flowering stones; the ancient Kalahari Desert of Botswana; the wetland paradise of the Okavango Delta and the aquatic Eden of Lake Malawi; the forests of Madagascar and Bwindi in Uganda; and the tropical islands of the Seychelles.
