A comprehensive approach to intuitive eating with a focus on habits within the family.
An astonishing number of diets fail, leaving us feeling defeated and frustrated. But what if we could live a life free from dieting, restriction, and the suffering that goes along with it? Kindred Table discusses why restriction doesn't work and why striving for a certain weight does more harm than good. Instead, it explains how to introduce your family to intuitive eating and, most importantly, how to enjoy healthy and happy family meals.

Emily Weeks, RDN, LD, is the author behind the food and wellness website, zenandspice.com, and a nutrition and culinary communications expert based in Dallas, Texas. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. Emily has been featured in publications such as Today’s Dietitian, Mind Body Green, Everyday Health, Buzzfeed, and The Huffington Post, and she has won both the Dallas and Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Media Awards. Emily believes the path to a nourished, happy life is to develop a healthy relationship with food, our minds, and our bodies. By cooking more at home and eating and moving intuitively, we can achieve peace of mind and be happy in the here and now. Follow along for delicious, easy recipes and simple strategies to learn how to become comfortable in the kitchen and embrace mindfulness. Emily graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She lives in Wylie, Texas with her husband, daughter, and schnoodle puppy. When she’s not cooking or blogging, Emily loves taking her dog for a walk, going to yoga or cycling classes, and binge-watching TV shows with her husband, Nick.
